The training program at Novoscalp SMP Academy has been developed by the Master Technician Brett Smith. Brett established himself as a one of the early providers of SMP in Australia in 2015. He has developed and refined a technique that yields results of the highest world standard through his fine arts background and numerous SMP training courses he has undertaken internationally.
Brett Smith is a Master Artist and Trainer of SMP as well as a Mentor for many artists new to the industry. His experience and knowledge of SMP for all applications including scar camouflage, alopecia and density treatments put him at the forefront of the SMP industry in Australia achieving results at the highest world standard. Brett is also an experienced cosmetic tattoo eyebrow artist using the machine and microblading techniques.
The SMP process looks amazingly simple and in concept it is simple, but the techniques that we develop must be customised and considered for each individual client. There are many variables in performing SMP that makes this process more of an art form than a science.
In addition to the practical aspects, this fascinating and lucrative profession requires empathy and excellent communication skills. The development of an enviable and profitable reputation starts with the high level of training you will receive at Novoscalp SMP Academy.
Novoscalp SMP Academy offers complete training and certification in the practise of Scalp Micropigmentation for concealment of male pattern balding (hair stubble replication), concealment of exposed scalp in clients with longer hair and micropigmentation application for scar concealment.
The 3 Day course is tailored on a theory component with a more comprehensive covering of the finer points of the technique and approaches that will be required. We also cover marketing your business and managing clients and their expectations. The course will also involve work on live models on Days 2 and 3. On completion of the course you will have the knowledge, ability and equipment to commence SMP procedures with confidence immediately and develop and refine your technique and practise to become a successful and sought after SMP Technician.

To be eligible for SMP Training with our Academy it is a preferred that you have an artistic background, or experience in cosmetic tattooing or body art tattooing as a steady hand and precise motion along with a keen eye for fine detail are all critical in adopting a viable technique and producing natural results.
