What is Scalp Micropigmentation for Longer Hair?

The Treatment for Male Pattern Baldness in Longer Hair
Male pattern baldness is one of the most common forms of hair loss which can begin in the 20’s and affects most men by the age of 50. At Novoscalp, we provide an advanced cover-up treatment called Scalp Micropigmentation. Novoscalp Clinics Australia utilise a specialised technique to ‘tattoo’ pigment directly into the skin in in a stipple effect creating the illusion of shadow and density by diminishing the lightness of the exposed scalp. Different pigment shades are used with each sebsequent session to create an all round uniform look and the realistic appearance of the end result. The whole process requires 3 sessions which usually last for around 3 hours.
SMP is a permanent, non-invasive, affordable alternative to transplant surgeries or other hair systems that are high-maintenance, such as wigs or toupes.

How the procedure works?

The approach for creating longer hair is the same as that for the shaved head look. The treatment is applied to create a texture made up of layers of slightly varying toned deposits. It is important not to completely cover all the exposed scalp with a high density of deposits as this volume of pigment and density would create an unnatural appearance over time. It would also be detrimental should a client decide to shave down to buzz cut length.
